Session 32: Cancer
Date:
Data is absolutely critical in the battle against cancer. Without accurate, timely data the health sector cannot begin to understand the picture locally or nationally. What are the risk factors? What are the likely outcomes? Where are the clear health inequalities? What are the differences in referrals, diagnosis and treatment across cancer types, services and regions? Data holds the key to solving all of these challenges.
Our speakers:
Professor Sir Mike Richards CBE, MD, DSc, FRCP, recently retired British oncologist. Mike was the DH's first National Cancer Director Normal and retired as Chief Inspector of hospitals in 2017. More recently, he has written a major report on diagnostics which has led to the introduction of Community Diagnostic Centres.
